Rich Strater MA, CHW ALLY
Rich Strater is research and communications lead at the Center for Community Health Alignment. He has worked with CHWs as a CHW Ally since 2020.
After serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mexico, Rich began working with PASOs in 2020 as an AmeriCorps VISTA. His work expanded to a joint graduate assistantship with the Center for Community Health Alignment and PASOs in 2021. Rich held this position until graduating with a Master of Arts in Anthropology in 2023. He began his full-time work as a research and communications coordinator with the Center for Community Health Alignment in 2023.
Rich utilizes his skills as a mixed-methods researcher and marketer to better understand the lived experiences of CHWs across the U.S. and leverages such knowledge in marketing and communications campaigns to support the implementation and advancement of the CHW workforce. He tries to center the voices of CHWs in all of his work, advocating for the philosophy, “Nothing About Us, Without Us”
