Nicole Spencer MS

Nicole was born and raised in Monroeville, PA. Ms. Spencer earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications from the University of Pittsburgh in 2003. In 2006, Ms. Spencer earned her Master of Science Degree in Applied Developmental Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh. In 2007, Ms. Spencer moved to Greenville SC and in 2021, moved to Florence, SC. Ms. Spencer resides with her partner of eight years, her daughter (16), and her granddaughter (6). Ms. Spencer also has an adult daughter (26) and grandson (2) that reside in Las Vegas.

 

Ms. Spencer is a Mental Health Professional II as well as the Program Manager for the ROI program at Pee Dee Mental Health Center (PDMHC). Ms. Spencer has been employed with PDMHC since November 2, 2022. She began her career at PDMHC as a School-Based Counselor providing services at Darlington Middle and Darlington High School until transitioning to her current position in February 2024. Prior to her work at PDMHC, she was employed at the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ) from July 2018 until April 2020, where she conducted both Psychological and Psychosexual local evaluations for Adjudicated Juveniles in the community under the supervision of a Licensed Psychologist. From November 2011 until May 2018, Ms. Spencer was employed at Greenville Mental Health Center (GMHC). While at GMHC she held the titles of Multisystemic (MST) Therapist, Young Adults in Transition (YAT) Manager, and Acute Care Coordinator (overseeing the MST Program, YAT Program, Slater Clinic, the Testing Program, and Acute Care Department). Ms. Spencer has also provided in-home services as a contractor for five years to juveniles charged with sex related offenses. Ms. Spencer began her career in counselling working at Generations Group Home, where she provided treatment to juveniles convicted of sexual related offenses while they resided in a group home setting.

 

When Ms. Spencer is not working, she enjoys traveling, shopping, binge watching Netflix, and taking day trips to the beach.
