Jane Hart Lewis MS, LPC, NCC, DBTC
Jane Hart Lewis is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Supervisor for Professional Counselors. She was credentialed as a Nationally Certified Counselor, a Certified Dialectical Behavior Therapist, and a Certified Cognitive-Behavioral Therapist prior to partial retirement. Additionally, she has formal training in Experiential Remapping and Re-decision Therapy. She has worked with adults, adolescents and children during her more than thirty years of practice. Prior to opening her full-time private practice, Ms. Lewis worked for the South Carolina Department of Mental Health for 20 years and was an adjunct professor for the Francis Marion University Psychology Department in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. Ms. Lewis has a master’s degree in applied psychology from Francis Marion University and a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from The University of the South in Sewanee, TN. She is the first recipient of the Francis Marion University Department of Psychology’s Professional Psychology Award. Ms. Lewis has presented on mental health treatment at Renaissance Weekend in Tarrytown, NY and has provided training for Pee Dee Area Health Education Consortium, the South Carolina Department of Mental Health, and the South Carolina Association for Marriage and Family Therapists, among others.
