Meg was raised in Darlington, South Carolina. She attended Presbyterian College, where she received a bachelor’s degree in psychology before earning a master’s degree from Francis Marion University in Clinical Psychology. Meg is a licensed professional counselor and counselor supervisor. She has worked with trauma victims since completing graduate school in 2006. In 2009, she began working specifically with child victims of abuse as the program director for the Durant Children’s Center and in 2013 as the Executive Director of the CARE House of the Pee Dee. In the over 10 years as Director of CARE House, the CAC has increased staff, created and grown a therapy program providing 5 types of evidence supported interventions and has improved capacity in all facets of the CAC increasing the ability to serve more children. Meg enjoys sharing and does this through providing training. In 2022, CARE House received a Chick-Fil-A True Inspiration award. Meg lives in Florence with her husband Tallon and their sons.
