Kate K, Chappell PhD, APRN, CPNP-PC, CNE

Kate K. Chappell, PhD, APRN, CPNP-PC, CNE is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and the Co-Director of Childcare Ready for All (CRAwl), a DSS-funded program providing training for family caregivers and childcare providers of children with healthcare needs across SC. She is a Professor at the University of South Carolina College of Nursing. She is the Advocacy Chair for the Developmental Behavioral and Mental Health SIG in the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and a founding board member for Collaborative Means Training and Wellness Center. Her clinical experience includes pediatric intensive care, neurology, child abuse/forensics, and camp nursing for deaf and hard-of-hearing children. She has worked with various community and professional audiences at local to national levels including school nurses, teachers, and childcare providers to provide training on topics including seizures, adverse childhood experiences, anaphylactic reactions, autism spectrum disorder, and child abuse prevention and recognition.
