Description
Participants will learn about the value of improving interpersonal skills for healthcare professionals. This course includes a pre-test, assignment, post-test and evaluation. The module objectives are aligned to the following SC Health Science 1 Standard: Foundation of Healthcare Professions Standard 8: Teamwork: Identify roles and responsibilities of individual members as part of the healthcare team 8.5. Explore and analyze attributes and attitudes of an effective leader: characteristics (interpersonal skills, focused on results, positive).
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the importance of interpersonal skills.
  • Identify areas for improvement in his/her own interpersonal skills.
  • Recognize and adapt to different communication styles.
