Description
Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a highly prevalent neurodevelopmental disability. This lecture provides an overview of the most common psychiatric comorbidities in ASD, atypical presentations, evidence-based treatments, and barriers to diagnosing and treating psychiatric disorders in ASD. At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Understand appropriate treatment options for individuals with autism at risk for co-occurring psychiatric comorbidities.
