Description
Immunizations are one of the best public health prevention measures. Immunizations for adults is an area that is often overlooked. At the end of this session, participants will: (1) Identify 3 vaccines recommended for reproductive aged women. (2) Recall 2 strategies to minimize vaccine hesitancy.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Instruct staff on where to access current immunization schedules.
  • Identify a valid contraindication for vaccines administered to women of reproductive age.
  • Describe methods for preventing and managing adverse reactions.
  • Describe documentation and reporting for adverse events associated with vaccines administered.
  • Explain the purpose of minimum intervals between doses for vaccines routinely used in the United States.
