Description
Join us for an exciting and informative panel discussion where current students from various health professions share their personal journeys into healthcare. This event will provide an opportunity for students interested in health careers to hear directly from those who are actively pursuing them.

Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Identify various career options in healthcare and public health.
  • Describe steps to prepare for pursing a care in health professions.
  • Identify at least one step to take to further explore and/or prepare for a career in health professions.

The sessions are presented as part of the South Carolina AHEC Health Careers Program targeted at high school, undergraduate, and gap year pre-health students. A certificate of participation is only given to those who attend and complete an evaluation. This program does not meet professional development requirements for practicing health professionals.
