Description
Join us this month as we learn about the topic of intimate partner violence and what we can do as various health professionals to address this issue. We will review data and how to incorporate best practices regarding this topic.

Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Identify subtle, hidden indicators of intimate partner violence, including common comorbidities.
  • Specify risk factors associated with intimate partner violence and distinguish notable disparities among vulnerable and marginalized populations.
  • Integrate trauma-informed care principles into intimate partner violence-related inquiries and interventions to reduce risk of re-traumatization and honor survivors’ voice, strength, autonomy.
