Description
During this monthly meeting, students will be introduced to the career path in healthcare Therapeutic Services. They will learn how clinical and non-clinical health career pathways are critical in supporting the healthcare system and all of its employees. In each meeting, students will be able to define, explain, and provide examples of career opportunities within each of the 5 health career pathways.

Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the clinical and non-clinical roles of therapeutic services in healthcare
  • Identify Labor Market Information (LMI) on education, career outlook, and salary expectations for healthcare professionals in alternative medicine, including acupuncturists.
  • Discuss skills that foster the enhancement of awareness in alternative medicine, certifications, training and educational programs
  • Understand the alignment of career pathway with personal interests and skills
