Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Identify common acute and chronic complications affecting patients with sickle cell disease.
  • Recognize the collaborative healthcare approach in managing sickle cell disease.
  • Identify evidence-based practices for acute crisis management, preventive care, and addressing psychosocial needs in patients with sickle cell disease.
