Description
Storytelling is often neglected or not recognized among healthcare professionals as a therapeutic intervention. Yet hearing and telling stories can be a powerful source of healing. Stories address life’s fundamental questions. In this seminar we will tell stories. You will be invited-as you feel comfortable- to share your own stories. Topics include: The Importance of Stories Stories Heal How Stories Heal How Stories are Heard The Trouble With Stories
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Provide an understanding of how stories heal.
  • Describe three roles the listener plays in order to hear the other’s story
