Description
This 30-minute program will provide learners with the basic knowledge of HAZCOM, Hazardous Communication.

Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Define HAZCOM and discuss the importance of it.
  • Recognize the Hazard Communication Standard that includes: OSHA Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) 29 CFR 1910. Standard for labeling hazardous chemical containers SDS (Safety Data Sheet) Database GHS - Global Harmonized System
  • Identify a manufacturer's label and understand the products name, warning/signal word, general hazards listed, and pictograms.
