This program will describe the theory and techniques required for performing basic venipuncture. Participants will be introduced to the necessary equipment.

  • Describe bloodborne pathogens and modes of transmission and appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Describe the correct procedure for venipuncture.
  • Describe special procedures in venipuncture.
