Description
FARE (Food Allergy Research & Education) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization with the mission to improve the quality of life and health of those with food allergies through transformative research, education, and advocacy. This training has been designed especially for Community Health Workers in an effort to increase knowledge and spread awareness about food allergies.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Identify what a food allergy is and is not.
  • Recognize key daily management issues families face, such as label reading and cross-contact.
  • Describe what a food-allergic reaction looks like.
  • Discuss issues around food allergy and health inequity.
