Description
This training will describe the common signs of intoxication and withdraw drugs like cocaine, methamphetamines, marijuana, opioids, hallucinogens, benzodiazepines abuse, physical dependence and addiction will also be covered. An emphasis will be on adolescent including parents.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the temporary and lasting effects of drug use and what to look for in terms of "A person with the suffering of withdrawal."
  • Recognize current trending of the use of different drugs and what we can expect in the future.
  • Recognizing how teens can be much more affected by high-dose drug use than older adults.
  • Recognizing the signs of overdose and how to respond.
