Description
Participants will learn about leadership skills for health careers. This course includes an assignment and evaluation. The module objectives are aligned to the following SC Health Science 1 Standard: Foundation of Healthcare Professions Standard 8: Teamwork: Identify roles and responsibilities of individual members as part of the healthcare team. 1. Act responsibly as a team member, including gaining practice employing leadership skills when acting as team leader.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe characteristics of leaders in healthcare.
  • Explain the importance of effective healthcare leadership.
  • List several ways to help sustain your healthcare leadership journey.
