Description
Participants will learn about character traits of health professionals and how to strengthen your own character. This course includes a pre-test, assignment, post-test and evaluation. The module objectives are aligned to the following SC Health Science 1 Standard: Foundation of Healthcare Professions Standard 4: Employability Skills Use employability skills to enhance employment opportunities and job satisfaction. 4.1 Identify personal traits and attitudes desirable in a career ready member of a health team. 4.3 Summarize and demonstrate professional standards and characteristics as they apply to hygiene, dress, language, confidentiality and behavior.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Define character and explain the importance of character.
  • Describe character traits needed in health care.
  • Analyze personal character traits and strategies to strengthen character.
