Description
Participants will learn how critical interprofessionalism is for improving the delivery of health care. This course includes a pre-test, assignments, post-test and evaluation. The module objectives are aligned to the following SC Health Science 1 Standard: Foundation of Healthcare Professions Standard 8: Teamwork: Identify roles and responsibilities of individual members as part of the healthcare team 8.1. Explain and Evaluate roles and responsibilities of team members: examples of healthcare teams, responsibilities of team members, benefits of teamwork 8.2. Respect interdisciplinary roles of team members and act responsibly as a team member
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the interprofessional delivery of health care.
  • Identify characteristics of an effective interprofessional healthcare team.
