This session will provide an introduction to acronyms of the rural and underserved healthcare landscape with an emphasis on healthcare workforce and labor market data (workforce trends, future job growth, etc.)

Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Understand who is in the health workforce
  • Identify various definitions of rural
  • Explain shortage terminology
  • Identify health workforce and labor market data sources and limitations
  • Locate available resources and additional workforce information
