Description
During this recorded discussion, Bruce McIntyre III, who appeared in the documentary Aftershock, shares his story about navigating the healthcare system during the COVID-19 pandemic with his pregnant fiancée, and the events that led to her death during an emergency C-section. He discusses his work to address the maternal health crisis and strategies to reduce health disparities in pregnant women.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Describe challenges to maternal health care during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  • Identify community-based strategies to address the maternal health crisis.
