This recorded webinar will discuss Communication strategies and tips, Medical terms vs. Plain language, the Affirm, Share, Ask (ASA) cycle and Reflective listening.
Objectives

At the completion of this activity, participants will be able to:

  • Identify 3 examples of plain language to use in place of medical terms.
  • Recall how to utilize Affirm-Share-Ask (ASA) cycles for person-centered communication.
  • Describe 2 of the ways reflective listening is person-centered.
